Listen to “Breathtaking” on the Thirteen Podcast

The audio production of my horror story Breathtaking is now available for free from the Thirteen Podcast. Set in 1930s Oklahoma during the Dust Bowl, it tells the story of a young girl and her brother who see a mysterious woman in white screaming outside their house during a dust storm.

Nine drabbles accepted into the Nom Nom Halloween anthology

Nine of my horror drabbles have been accepted into the Nom Nom Halloween drabble anthology by Black Hare Press. The first six are originals; the other three are reprints.

  • Sharp Candy. Look before you eat.
  • Fresh Sushi. They taste best raw.
  • Under Leaves. Bury me next.
  • What Remains? Fucked around. Found out.
  • Sending Hugs. Never look back.
  • Practical Joke. You’ll die laughing.
  • The Angel. Just like her mother.
  • Curiosity Kills. Look what the cat dragged in.
  • Third Eye. You can only keep two.

And, yes, all the stories are required to have two-word titles.

Listen to “They Say Crows Can Remember Faces” on Scare You To Sleep

The audio production of my short horror story They Say Crows Can Remember Faces is now available for free from Scare You To Sleep. Shelby Scott is the absolute best in the horror podcasting business, and she proves it once again with her incredible narration and brilliant sound design. This is one of my favorite stories, so I am beyond thrilled to hear it performed and produced so perfectly.

“He Has His Father’s Eyes” accepted by Dark Moments

My horror drabble He Has His Father’s Eyes has been accepted into next month’s Dark Moments by Black Hare Press, for their Nephilim theme. It’s hard to believe, but this is my 100th acceptance since I started writing short fiction just 2 1/2 years ago. My very first acceptance was also a drabble with Black Hare Press (In the Water, in the Ancients anthology), so it’s fitting that my 100th is too.

“They Say Crows Can Remember Faces” accepted by Scare You To Sleep

My short horror story They Say Crows Can Remember Faces has been accepted by the Scare You To Sleep podcast. I recently discovered the show via their incredible production of Caleb Stephens’ You Have To Let Him Burn and it instantly became one of my favorite horror podcasts. This is also one of my favorite stories, so I can’t wait to hear what Shelby does with it.
