My horror story Baby Food has been published in Teleport Magazine. It’s about a man who convinces his wife to overcome her fear of bears to go camping with him, only to discover that what awaits them in the woods is much, much worse.
I looked around the area where we stood. There were no signs of trouble, no other indication that anyone had been there. But obviously, someone had been. Something must have happened. And whatever it was, it couldn’t have been good. Scratched into the side of the water bottle were two words, just six letters, in all caps:
HELP ME

My story Silly Jilly has been accepted into Apex Magazine’s Strange Libations: Dark Cocktails, an anthology of stories told via drink recipes. Silly Jilly is a bitter cocktail with a sweet finish, made in memory of a little girl lost.
My horror story Baby Food has been accepted by Teleport Magazine. It’s a story about parenthood, giant insects, and a camping trip gone horribly wrong.
Another day, another reprint of Make It a Double is live. I’ve been very fortunate to have this novelette reprinted three times in the last few months. This time, it appears on Fiction on the Web, a popular destination for short fiction for over 25 years. And at least one reader (who is definitely not me) seemed to like it, already posting an awesome review:
My underwater horror story A Sinking Feeling has been published by Daikaijuzine in Issue #011: Hedorah. It’s the story of two survivors trapped in an air pocket in a sunken ship at the bottom of the ocean. And they’re not alone.
My psychological horror novelette Make It a Double has been published in the Short Story Substack newsletter. It’s an email newsletter that selects one short story per month to send to its subscribers. The Theodore Roosevelt quote they chose for the newsletter perfectly sums up the theme of the story: “Comparison is the thief of joy.”
My cyberpunk story A Free Man has been published in The Mods anthology by Shacklebound Books. In a world where you can purchase a synthetic replica of a person from a vending machine, the best person to frame for a crime you committed may be … yourself.
My slasher story No Signal has been published in Dead Heat: An Anthology of Summer Horror by Crimson Pinnacle Press. It’s a twist on the common trope of someone in the woods trying to call for help, only to realize that, “There’s no signal out here!”
